Our Approach
The Hopemaker Foundation creates safe, affordable, and high-quality independent living homes in North County San Diego. We focus on securing residential properties and transforming them into environments where individuals experiencing homelessness or disability can find immediate stability.
Our model utilizes cohousing principles where residents share a community while maintaining their own private living space. This shared environment fosters mutual support, reduces social isolation, and encourages a sense of belonging that is essential for long-term recovery and growth.
We walk alongside our residents but expect them to be fully capable of living and caring for themselves.
By providing not just housing, but a supportive community framework, residents are empowered to rebuild their lives with dignity, stability, and a renewed sense of opportunity.
